The original 28 Seeds was created by Walter Sickert during the 28 days of February 2010 as a radio play and concept album by Walter Sickert & the ARmy of BRoken TOys for the RPM Challenge. It used found audio, music, and voiceover to paint an aural picture of the end of the world in the vein of 1930s sci-fi radio dramas and like The War of the Worlds, and the Shadow.
In 2011, we began to work with Liars & Believers (an innovative theatre production company) to bring 28 Seeds from the ether into a fully realized theatrical experience. While Walter and Meff worked together on the various aspects of the production, it became clear that to hold true to the vision of 28 Seeds, a companion art comic had to be produced.
Over 500 hours of design, illustration, writing, editing and production work have gone into making this soft bound book a reality.
We hope you enjoy these three tales from the universe of 28 Seeds.
The FIRST is the journey of the wayward brain of a scientist who knows too much and his faithful companion who will do anything to preserve his final discovery.
The SECOND tale is a story of a little girl who achieves the all-American dream of becoming a ruthless dictator via conspiracy, politics, and murderer.
And finally we see in tale THREE how our very own government is vigilantly looking out for our best interests.
